Suburban Hospital is a designated regional trauma center, a certified primary stroke center, and is recognized for excellence in many areas, including nursing, cardiac care, orthopedics and joint replacement surgery, neurosciences and oncology. The hospital’s affiliation with many local healthcare organizations and its close proximity to the National Institutes of Health helps ensure that our patients have access to the best care available.

Medical Services and Care

Parking

The parking garage is located on the northeast corner of Suburban Hospital’s campus and is accessible from Old Georgetown Road. After entering Suburban’s campus from Old Georgetown Road, follow the driveway to the right to the parking garage entrance.

Patients and visitors are welcome to park anywhere in the parking garage. There is designated patient parking on Level 2 of the parking garage. Accessible parking spaces are on every level of the parking garage near the elevators, and van accessible parking is on Level 2.

Parking rates are posted and charged to vehicles entering the parking area Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The parking gates and ticket kiosks are operational and parking fees are collected 24 hours per day. Please take your parking ticket into the hospital with you. Payment kiosks are located in the main hospital lobby. The kiosks accept both cash and credit/debit cards as payment.

Parking rates are as follows:

  • 0 - 1 hour = $2
  • 1 – 2 Hours $5.00
  • 2 – 3 Hours $7.00
  • 3 – 24 Hours $12.00
  • Each additional day $5.00

To accommodate patients, family, or other visitors from out of town, volunteers at the hospital's Information Desk in the main lobby can provide details about hotel options near Suburban Hospital. The Bethesda Marriott (301-897-9400), Bethesda Hyatt Regency (301-657-1234), Bolger Center (1-866-578-6600), DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Bethesda - Washington DC (301-652-2000) and American Inn of Bethesda (301-656-9300) offer discounted rates for families of Suburban Hospital patients. The DoubleTree can also provide shuttle service from their hotel to the hospital and the outpatient center on Rockledge Drive. Please mention Suburban Hospital when inquiring about a reservation. Room availability and discounts are based on availability and are not guaranteed.

Other hotels within a mile of the hospital are the North Bethesda Marriott and Residence Inn of Bethesda.
