Sarcoma Multidisciplinary Clinic

Care for Children and Adults With Bone and Soft Tissue Sarcomas

The Johns Hopkins Sarcoma Multidisciplinary Clinic offers comprehensive treatment. Its expert physicians have extensive experience managing this rare and complex cancer, offering expertise in multiple specialties — including medical and surgical oncology, orthopedic oncology, radiology, plastic and reconstructive surgery, neurosurgery, and pathology.

Our physician team meets weekly to coordinate on a plan for each of our patients, employing the most effective techniques to treat the cancer while maximizing our patients’ quality of life.

We understand a diagnosis of cancer is overwhelming and know a multidisciplinary approach is the most effective way to care for patients. Our goal is to not only to provide a comprehensive evaluation and plan to treat a patient’s cancer, but to help with all the challenges a cancer diagnosis can bring.

Why Choose Johns Hopkins for
Sarcoma Treatment

Our multidisciplinary clinic provides personalized treatment plans for patients with bone and soft tissue sarcomas, including those who have received a treatment plan but are seeking a multidisciplinary second opinion and patients who have had surgery for a sarcoma and may need additional treatment with radiation or chemotherapy. Patients with metastatic sarcoma generally need to be seen by one of our medical oncologists to discuss chemotherapy or other systemic therapy options.

More Treatment Options

We provide all treatment options for bone and soft tissue sarcomas, including those in innovative clinical trials. Our team members, representing top physician researchers in the treatment of sarcoma, are always looking for improved methods. During the weekly team conference, all treatment options developed from the latest research findings are considered, including any being used in our clinical trials. Once a comprehensive plan is formulated, all treatment options are thoroughly discussed with the patient and can be administered at Johns Hopkins.

See Multiple Specialists in One Appointment

Meet with multiple sarcoma experts in one appointment. In addition to our physicians, the Johns Hopkins Sarcoma Multidisciplinary Clinic offers specialized pharmacists, experts in symptom management and side effects, and social workers to provide ongoing support for each patient.
