Care for All Bile Duct, Gallbladder and Liver Cancers

The Liver and Biliary Cancer Multidisciplinary Clinic team standing in front of the Dome.

Cancers in the liver, bile duct and gallbladder are complex diseases requiring the expertise of specialists from many disciplines. The Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins offers a Liver and Biliary Cancer Multidisciplinary Clinic every Wednesday.

The clinic is staffed with medical and radiation oncologists, surgeons, hepatologists, radiologists, pathologists, pharmacists, social workers, experts in symptom management and side effects, researchers and others.

Our expert team conducts an extensive review of each case and determines a personalized treatment plan for each patient. During our team conference all treatment options will be considered, including any available Clinical Trials. Once a comprehensive plan has been formulated, all treatment options will be discussed with the patient and can be implemented through our institution.

We understand a diagnosis of cancer is overwhelming and know a multidisciplinary approach for Liver cancer is the most effective way to care for patients. Our goal is to not only provide a comprehensive evaluation and plan to treat a patient’s cancer, but provide assistance with all the challenges a cancer diagnosis can bring.
